UAE officials, ambassadors and dozens of Ukrainian civilians, army representatives and diplomats gathered on Hilton Hotel’s beach side.

Sergey Pasko, the Ukrainian ambassador in Abu Dhabi, said that the diplomatic relations between the Emirates and his country were first established on December 16, 1992, followed by the opening of the embassy here in October 1993, which was the second one Ukraine established within the Arab region, following its independence from the Soviet Union.

“We look forward to strengthening our cooperation on a broad range of issues, first of all in the sphere of economy, trade, promoting business opportunities, law enforcement, education and culture,” Pasko said.
