Two food outles gutted in mall fire
SHARJAH — A major fire that broke out on Wednesday night in Sahara Centre completely gutted two restaurants on the second floor, and sparking evacuation of visitors.
The fire broke out around 8.45pm in one of the restaurants when the mall was packed with shoppers, police sources said. However, no casualties were reported and the losses were yet to be assessed.
The sources told Khaleej Times that the fire broke out in Cinnabon sweets and Al Thob Al Bairouti restaurant. Fire-fighters and Anjad personnel evacuated the mall and took two hours to put out the fire.
Investigations were on to ascertain the cause of the fire.
