Two die as scaffolding collapses
SHARJAH — Two Bangladeshi workers died on the spot after the scaffolding on which they were standing collapsed from the 16th floor of a building under construction opposite Al Safeer Mall on Al Ittihad Road here yesterday.
The accident, which took place at 12.30pm, caused a traffic jam in the area that lasted for more than two hours. Ranu Mubarak Hussain, 24, and Layou Haris Al Deen, 28, were workers of Al Wathbah Contracting Company.
