DUBAI - Two Iraqi nationals yesterday pleaded not guilty to stealing a car and vehicle registration number plates in the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance.
Their alleged Yemeni accomplice pleaded not guilty to possessing the car while he was aware that it was stolen.
The two Iraqis, a clerk and an investor, are accused of stealing two registration number plates of a car that was parked near Hyatt Regency in March this year.
The duo later fixed the number plates on a car they had allegedly stolen from an automobile showroom in Al Aweer area.
They stole the car soon after a driver dropped it outside the showroom. The Yemeni accused, a clerk, then bought the stolen car from the Iraqis.
