Family-owned conglomerate committed to nurturing the development of Emirati workforce
The meeting was held recently under the chairmanship of Khalid Al Khazraji, Under-Secretary for Labour Affairs, and was attended by Dr Abdul Rahman Al Awar, Tanmia Director General, and other committee members. "Tanmia can draw on the ministry's policies on labour market management while the labour market can also be oriented towards meeting Tanmia's strategic objectives," Dr Khazraji said, adding that the ministry database can be used to formulate the labour market policies.
Dr Al Awar invited the ministry to utilise the labour market research undertaken by Tanmia's Centre for Labour Market Research and Information (CLMRI).
"The emphasis should now be on the emiratisation of jobs in the private sector, particularly in the insurance and banking sectors," he said.
During the meeting, some committee members were assigned to proposing a mechanism for implementation and follow-up of the Council of Ministers' resolutions on emiratisation of jobs in various sectors.
