Sharjah City Municipality will no longer deal with cash for any transactions related to revenues or fines, according to an announcement by the authority on Sunday.
All municipality fees will instead be collected via the Tahseel system.
The public was advised that the notice would come into effect starting Wednesday, July 15.
Customers were directed to use any of the following payment methods to process their transactions instead:

> Tahseel card
> Banking cards (credit or debit) via POS or online
> Emirates ID card
> Global e-wallets such as Google Pay, Apply Pay and Samsung Pay
> Direct debit from the individual's bank account
