Kolkata - Intense checks were carried out and bomb disposal and dog squads were pressed into service

Security at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport on Wednesday was beefed up and intense checks were carried out following anonymous calls warning of attacks were received, police said.
The city police headquarters at Lalbazar received two anonymous calls in the early hours of the day threatening to blow up the airport.
Following the calls, intense checks were carried out and bomb disposal and dog squads were pressed into service.
