Brigadier Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Director of General Department of Criminal Investigation said the police were still chasing the second suspect.
He said that the Dubai Police was informed by a labourer in Al Qouz that his colleague was found dead in his room in the labour camp. He said that CID officials rushed to the site and were told by the labourers that their colleague had not come out from his room that day.
“We went to his room and knocked the door, but he did not answer. We tried to open the door, but it was locked from inside and so we broke it open and saw the victim lying in a pool of blood,” said the workers.
The forensic doctor found that the victim had been stabbed five times. The police have confiscated the weapons used in the crime.
Al Mansouri added that the police had set a team which launched an investigation.
He added that within five hours of receiving the report, the police succeeded in figuring out that the victim had lend Dh5,000 to the suspect.
When the victim insisted that the suspect return the money, he killed him with the help of the second suspect. The second suspect is still at large.
