The Dubai Police has now accepted what we discussed, as seen in the announcement of Brig. Mohammed Saif Al Zafin, Head of Traffic Dept in Dubai Police, when he stated that his department is not satisfied with the present pass percentages in some institutes. He demanded the parties concerned to study the reasons for the shortcomings, after adopting specific, relevant scientific standards in judging the examinee. He added that the government will not take any steps towards increasing privatisation, unless it is assured that the institutes are complying with the security standards.

The Dubai Traffic Department issued 412 tickets for violations to driving schools and institutes in Dubai during the last three months. Things are clear now, and if the Dubai Police had facilitated some procedures to speed up the process of issuing driving licences, it didn’t mean that they would be lenient on violations.
