Just weeks ahead of the expected beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Dubai Tourism has announced the timings of malls and food courts across Dubai.
According to Visit Dubai, major malls will continue to operate throughout Ramadan, with extended late-night operating hours to accommodate those fasting between sunrise and sundown. Malls will remain open until 1am on weekdays and until 2am on weekends. They also reminded mallgoers that some smaller boutiques and small businesses may choose to close during the day and reopen after sunset.

Popular landmarks will also remain open to the public, while some will implement alternative timings. The Dubai Fountain's midday show does not run during Ramadan, however the fountain's schedule continues as normal after dusk.
For non-Muslims, food courts in major malls will continue to operate from 12pm until the malls' closing. These areas will be sectioned to respect those who are fasting. Non-food court restaurants with mall entry will mostly open only for Iftar (after sunset) and Suhoor (before sunrise) hours, with the exception of hotel restaurants. Food courts will operate as normal after sunset.
Residents are urged to check mall websites to confirm timings as the Holy Month approaches.
