The FFC’s main objective is to create new filmmaking opportunities in the Middle East and establish Abu Dhabi as a filmmaking hub.

During the three-day event, top local financiers and executives from businesses, as well as international investment and entertainment companies will participate in the various programmes.

The event will provide industry insiders with investment options and filmmakers with options for bringing their projects to life. Among the initiatives introduced by FFC will be the Abu Dhabi Film Fund, designed to bridge the co-production and financing gap between Europe, America and the rest of the world, and also the In Circle Pearl Grant, designed to facilitate and finance projects of emerging filmmakers.

Harvey Weinstain, one of the top movie moguls, is expected to inaugurate the FFC. His multi-media company has released a variety of commercially successful movies such as ‘The Matador’, ‘Lucky Number Slevin’ or ‘Scary Movie 4’. Weinstain will team up with other well-established industry professionals to create a marketing and finance strategy for six chosen projects.
