To be organised by the King Abdul Aziz Foundation, the four-day event will be held under the patronage of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia under the theme ‘Nurturing talent for the future’.
Dr Jamal Al Muheiri, Secretary- General of the Shaikh Hamdan Award, said the conference provides a new opportunity to get acquainted with the latest theories and technologies for discovering and promoting the talents of gifted persons.
He said the participation in the conference would be an investment to spur individuals and companies in the Arabian Gulf societies to lend more attention to the gifted people.
The event, he added, would provide an excellent platform for exchanging expertise and sharing experiences in the field.
Arif Al Falasi, Director of the centre and head of the delegation, said the conference would discus ways of increasing the abilities of the gifted people and promoting creative and critical thinking.
The role of the public and private sectors in taking care of the talented would also be discussed, he said.
He added that the conference would review the most reputed models with emphasis on the Chinese, German, Malaysian and South African experiments.
A special exhibition of creative works and products and a book fair will also be held on the sidelines of the conference.
