Mohammed lauds Sorbonne varsity for quality education

ABU DHABI — General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, received the Chancellor of Sorbonne University-Paris George Molini at Al Bateen Palace here yesterday.

Shaikh Mohammed welcomed the new chancellor, wishing him all the best to lead the university to more excellence.

He emphasised that ‘the Abu Dhabi government is keen to support the cultural and quality education project, stressing the role played by Sorbonne University-Paris to provide its study programmes to students in its Abu Dhabi branch’.

He added that the opening of Sorbonne branch in Abu Dhabi, other educational institutions and setting up of the world-class museums and cultural zones in Abu Dhabi, is in line with the vision of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, of making the ‘education and culture top priorities’.

Molini stressed the high hopes pinned by Sorbonne University on the huge educational and cultural projects in Abu Dhabi under the wise UAE leadership.
