His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, honoured the award winners.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Shaikh Mohammed said, “Government excellence is a core curriculum in the school of Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and serves as a key driver for the actions of the federal government.”
Shaikh Mohammed congratulated outstanding winners and performers of the first edition of the awards programme, reiterating that the country is an overall winner. He urged the other entities to follow in the steps of the winning bodies and benefit from the results to identify points of strength and opportunities. This would help in order to serve customers better, improve work environment in the government sector and contribute to realising strategic objectives of the federal government.
Shaikh Mohammed honoured the ministries of Interior and Public Works regarding the number of employees in the category of distinguished ministry. In the distinguished federal authority category, Emirates Transport Corporation and Securities and Commodities Authority won the award. Shaikh Mohammed also honoured the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority for scoring distinguished results in the customer satisfaction survey.
The work team of the criminal investigation at the Ministry of Interior also won an award in the distinguished team category.
