Mobile services to be suspended in Punjab

Rawalpindi: Punjab Government has imposed a ban on motorcycle pillion-riding besides suspension of cellular services across the province on 9th and 10th of Muharram.
The decision was taken during a meeting held to review law and order situation in the province with Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif in the chair.
The government has directed the law enforcement agencies to ensure foolproof security arrangements. Ten cities have been declared as the most sensitive including Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Multan, Gujranwala, Jhang, Rahimyar Khan, Chiniot and Rawalpindi. Seventy-five companies of Pakistan Army and 12 companies of Rangers will be deployed along with Police across the province. All the Ashura processions will be monitored and 39 drone cameras will be utilised for this purpose. A control unit has been set up at Central Police Office Lahore.
