DUBAI — For the first time in FDI history, the World Dental Congress featured a live telecast of a dental surgery being performed in Germany and broadcast through television screens set up for the delegates and visitors at Dubai International Convention Centre yesterday.
The surgery, focusing on the current concepts in accelerated implant treatment and bone grafting, was presented live to a large gathering of thousands of dentists and dental students from 1pm to 5pm.
Being performed by Arab surgeons Fouad Khoury from Germany and Charles Khoury from Lebanon, the surgery was performed live so as to help the international audience to evaluate diagnosis and indicate accelerated implant treatment.
