There is no dearth of Indian restaurants in the UAE. So when a new dining place makes its way to the emirates, people usually don't jump on the first opportunity to visit; they wait for an occasion to try it out. But Kareem's is special.
The famed Indian restaurant chain from Mumbai, known widely for its kebabs, curries and biryanis, has opened its first eatery in Abu Dhabi, and many from Mumbai and around cannot wait to pay a visit. For many Indians, Kareem's brings back nostalgia and memories of bonds and conversations shared over good food.

Kareem's at Ramada Abu Dhabi Corniche was opened by the charming Bollywood actress Aarti Chabria on September 29. The restaurant is planning to open five more branches in Dubai in due course.
The restaurant is the brainchild of chef Kareem Dhanani, who has worked magic with dishes and lent them a special distinctness. He is known for highly artistic Indian cooking skills in kebabs, curries and biryani, the famous dishes that marked the beginning of Kareem's restaurant business.
"Authentic dining affair, Kareem's is a place to enhance the food experience and let your taste buds savour the flavour of original kebabs and biryanis," says Manoj Sharma, the Strategist Partner of Kareem's.
The curries are perfectly blended with herbs and spices that give a perfect dining experience and great moments of truth.
For a quick bite, try Kareem's special kathi kebab rolls. Offered in a wide selection, the chicken kathi kebab roll, varieties of lamb and cottage cheese-filled wraps are all made to tingle your taste buds with its unique flavours. The authentic Indian-style bread is thin and the ingredients cooked on a tava to perfection and served with Indian-style sauces.
These are among the favourites of college students back home and people on the move. The fillings are not in excess, which makes it easy to eat it on the go.
The tandoori dishes, especially Kareem's Special Murgh Afghani and Murgh Malai Tikka, served as first course meals, are truly delectable. Nicely roasted to a crisp on the outside, these are quite tender beneath the crust. The shorbas have a distinct taste too, enlivened by coriander and mixed spices.
Kareem's is offering an inaugural discount of 25 per cent for dine-in customers.

If you are planning to dine in at the restaurant or order a meal for delivery, we suggest biryanis, especially chicken or lamb. Cooked in a traditional style in an earthen pot, each dish has its distinct character and colour, usually white and yellow because of the milk and saffron. Traditionally, biryanis are served with raita to balance the taste of fiery spices in biryani with its distinct flavour. If ordering for a large gathering, you can go for Kareem's special "Biryani by Kilo" - a portion large enough to serve six to eight people.
A large selection in the main course entrees will impress you equally. Kareem Dhanani and other chefs behind the venture have experimented at their own pace with spices and methods to lend uniqueness to its curries. From hot to mild and sweet, there is a range of colours and flavours in Kareem's curries, which is complemented beautifully with the wide range of tandoori rotis and a special bread called taftaan that are relatively bland or tingling with mild flavours. Other delicious dishes include Butter Chicken, Ran Musallam and Dum Ke Dal, which is specially prepared in a tandoor. The choice of desserts is quite rich too.
Restaurants have always been more than just the food they serve. With Kareem's, it is a mélange of food, distinct taste and reminiscence of the time spent with friends and family back home.
Kareem's restaurant in Ramada Abu Dhabi Corniche is the first branch of the group in the UAE. For more information, visit www.kareeemsglobal.com

BALA Rated 4.5
Just what Abu Dhabi needed - a next-door restaurant with great service and even better food. Must try: Kebab platter (serves 4-5), Lahori Chicken (yummiest chicken available), and the sweet platter (I loved the Anjeer Pada). In short: lovely ambience, service and food. A must-try. Thanks for living up to the name you have established. Cheers!
SIDHARTHAN Rated 4.5
Lovely menu. I ordered two Tandoori Chicken (original and Afghani style), Chicken Malai Kebab, Gosht Boti Kebab, Murgh Siah Mirch, Zeera Gosht and Naan. Both Tandoori Chicken dishes were awesome. The original was soft and spicy and the Afghan style was tender and succulent marinated in yoghurt. The Malai Kebab was melt-in-your-mouth awesome and the Boti Kebab tasted great. The curries were just amazing; great flavours and amazing taste with just the right amount of spice and complexity. Loved the food and the pricing is good as well. You can order full or half portions, which is nice. Highly recommended!
RAJANI Rated 3.5
An interesting name in an even interesting location. The place has been decorated well and looks welcoming. The Chicken Kebabs came first, the texture and the taste was good. The Mutton Biryani came in a clay pot and the pieces of meat were really good. The menu they have is interesting and the staff was very nice and courteous. I would say worth a visit, so go on and enjoy.
