Infant killed in car accident in RAK

Ras Al Khaimah - The baby's father, mother and sister sustained serious to moderate injuries after the vehicle hit a post.

A seven-month-old baby was killed in a traffic accident on the Shoka-Al Munai road in Ras Al Khaimah on Monday.
Colonel Ahmed Issa Abdullah, head of Al Munai Police Station, Ras Al Khaimah, said the baby's father, mother and sister sustained serious to moderate injuries when the father, an Arab, who was driving the car lost control of the vehicle and hit against a post on the other side of the road. The baby died on the spot.
According to Col Abdullah, the police rushed to the spot as soon as they received information. The injured were immediately shifted to the hospital.
Col Abdullah called upon all drivers to take caution while driving and to abide by the rules.
