A 34-year-old Indian has been sentenced by the Ajman criminal court to a one-year imprisonment followed by deportation for stealing four electricity cables from a building under construction.
According to the police record, S.S.G stole four electricity cables from a construction site. He was caught by the site guard while trying to flee with the stolen items. The guard informed the site engineer who called the police.
The guard told the court that he saw the accused carrying the wires and trying to flee the site. When confronted, he tried to run away, but was promptly caught and held until the site engineer arrived.
When the police arrived the accused confessed his crime, and said he was a construction worker at the site.
