Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said he will always stand by the people of Pakistan, and face all 'corrupt' leaders for their sake.
"Rulers of today have assets worth billions in foreign banks," he said, while addressing a public rally in Sialkot.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, PPP's Asif Zardari and MQM chief Altaf Hussin have built huge assets abroad.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has registered cases against them for corruption , kickbacks and money laundering. There are forty four murder cases against Altaf Hussain, he added. Imran said the Sharif government has provided protection to them and weakened prosecutions cases to allow them escape routes.
The PTI chairman said it was due to the growing corruption that Pakistanis now owed a huge amount of loans.
"In 2005, each Pakistani owed Rs35,000 and now the amount has reached Rs110,000," he claimed.
He urged people not to trust those who have their ill gotten wealth hidden in foreign banks. They will flee the country whenever they face any difficulty.
He said the present electoral system has inbuilt manipulative instruments to elect those already in the government because they have the capacity to deliver some development schemes just on the eve of election.
Cases have been registered against him to prevent him from explaining party's programme to the people despite the fact that he is not holding any public office to give anything to voters.
