Muhammad Sajjad started his professional journey with his father's vintage camera 20 years back. It is the simplest of details that compel him to focus his camera on his subjects. He started taking photographs of ordinary people on the streets of Pakistan. As time passed, he moved on to the fashion industry and worked as a fashion photographer for five years. He then joined the local daily newspaper in Pakistan and gained considerable work experience as a photojournalist. "In journalism photography, professional growth stops if you claim to know all. This is why I keep updating my knowledge about what new technology offers with an open mind and an attitude of a curious learner," he says. "Photography is not just clicking a camera button - it is much more than that in this ever-evolving world of technology. I came to Dubai in 2006 as I heard that Dubai is a 'Land of Opportunities' and got the job with Khaleej Times as a staff photographer in 2007. I am still learning," he adds.
