Fujairah appoints 33 new teachers

FUJAIRAH — The Fujairah Educational Zone (FEZ) has appointed 33 new teachers to solve the shortage of teaching staff ahead of the new academic year that begins on August 31.

Seven teachers each for Islamic Studies and Arabic Language, four for Science, three each for English Language, Geography and Mathematics, two each for Chemistry and Information Technology and one each for Biology and Decor have been appointed, Mushal Al Khadem, Head of School Management, FEZ, said recently.

"More teachers that are on the waiting list will also join soon," he added.

The FEZ has completed all preparations for welcoming the new academic year. The teachers have to resume duties on August 24 while the students have to reach the schools only on August 31.

Al Khadem said, "The FEZ has been coordinating with the Ministry of Education's Human Resources Department to fill the vacancies of the teaching and administrative staff. The administrative staff are fully ready. The shortage of teachers would be solved soon with the joining of the newly appointed teachers."

According to him, the maintenance works in all schools, except one, have been completed.
