One of the best Filipino pop performers, Lani will surely wow her audience with her trademark powerful singing style, impressive vocal range and dynamism in the upcoming concert titled Summer 2003 Musical Extravaganza.

The pop goddess is teaming up with four-piece band Ang4gettables (featuring Dyords Javier, Isay Alvarez, Pinky Marquez and Bimbo Cerrudo), Anna Fegi, Diana Zubiri and Norman Mitchell. "This is the first time that eight Filipino performers will be featured in a single concert in the UAE. We wanted to offer the overseas Filipinos something different this time. With the likes of Lani Misalucha and the other performers, we expect a full house for both the concerts," Lou Veloso, managing director of Jovel Philippines-International Corporation, the event organiser, told reporters at a Press conference yesterday.

It is certain that the audience, who are set to hear and witness Lani's opera diva skills onstage, will shower her with standing ovations and roaring applause, he said. Al Nasr Leisureland and Abu Dhabi National Theatre have a seating capacity of 3,000 each. Gates open at 5pm with two local bands from Dubai and three local bands in Abu Dhabi will be staging the front act prior to the main show at 8pm. Tickets are priced at Dh50 and Dh75.

There is a charity component in the concert as a percentage of the proceeds will go to ABS-CBN's Adopt A Hometown Project, 10 free tickets to Manila to less-privileged housemaids in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and a Rizal Memorial High School Scholarship.

The show is presented by Jovel Philippines-International Corporation in cooperation with Princess House Party Organisers.
