Residency services to continue duringEid holidays

ABU DHABI — The Directorate of Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs at the Interior Ministry said the counters at all residency departments across the country will continue to work during Eid holidays to receive emergency transactions. Major General Nasser Al Awadhi Al Minhali, Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs at the ministry, said special teams have been tasked for.

The counters in various emirates will work in the morning to receive emergency applications.

Free parking

dubai — Parking fees will be exempted from all paid parking zones across Dubai starting on Monday in celebration of Eid Al Adha, except for the Deira Fish Market to provide parking spaces for market visitors during the holiday period. All parking meters will be reactivated on November 20.

The Roads and Transport Authority reminded motorists to use parking spaces properly and to avoid parking on road pavements or behind other parked vehicles, which can lead to fines according to the law.

Al Ain fun

al ain — The Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort (AWPR) has a whole range of fun activities for families and kids to enjoy, starting from this Eid Al Adha, November 15, until the weekend after National Day, December 4, a media release stated.

There will be attractions for children to enjoy, including a kiddie train, swing ride, two bouncy castles, a thrilling bungee jump and more. Children and parents will even get the chance to win prizes by participating in challenging games that will test their skills. Opening hours on all Eid holidays is from 10am till 10pm. Regular opening hours daily are from 9am to 8pm.

Dubai promotions

dubai — The Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE) is gearing up to unveil the third edition of ‘Eid in Dubai’. Business entities have come out in support of the event which features concerts, international shows, plays and fireworks and laser displays.

Beauty parlours

fujairah — As many as 10 ladies beauty parlours in Fujairah have been served warning notices for not renewing trade licences as well as for the failure to take steps against infectious diseases and in providing health cards to the employees. The violations were reported following the inspection campaigns launched by the Health Inspection Unit of Fujairah Municipality as arrangements ahead of the Eid Al Adha holidays.

Fujairah orders

fujairah — The Fujairah Municipality has announced that it is fully geared up for Eid Al Adha by delivering some strict instructions that all must be comply with. Importing, displaying, distributing, buying and selling of firecrackers within the emirate of Fujairah is banned and presenting, selling and displaying liquors at furnished apartments, restaurants, hotels and clubs is strictly prohibited. Dancing halls, bars, nightclubs (cabarets) and massage centres have been ordered closed as well as of Sunday, November 14, noon up to Tuesday, November 16, midnight. The Fujairah abattoir will receive Eid Al Adha in addition to Al Tween slaughterhouse, according to the municipality. The sacrifice or ‘Odheiya’ will have to undergo veterinary examination before and after slaughter in order to avoid infectious diseases that could be transmitted to humans.
