The Dubai Charity Association contributed a generous Dh382,600 to the Thamer Salman Fund for Educational Solidarity, which aims to assist students who face hurdles in completing their educational tenure at Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST).

Abdulla Saeed Salman, manager of the fund, received the amount from Ahmad Mohammad Al Shamsi, secretary-general and board member of the association.

As a gesture of appreciation, the university honoured the association for its contribution. Salman commended the efforts exerted by the Dubai Charity Association to serve the community and humanity at large.

Al Shamsi expressed his pleasure at being a part of the Thamer Salman Fund, by assisting in achieving the goals of the fund. He also thanked the management of the AUST and the people responsible for making the initiative a success.

Salman went on to say, “This fund is dedicated to the kind spirit and unrelenting efforts of the late Thamer Salman who strived to alleviate the hurdles faced by the students during their tenure at AUST. The fund has had an overwhelming private contribution from social personalities; these contributions are a noble gesture by the respected community on a personal scale.”
