The library section affiliated to Dohms is taking part in updating database which will help the staff to access the latest medical information.
Dr Adnan Abdel Karim Julfar, Director of the Department for Continuing Medical Education in Dohms, has confirmed that the new information database will cover several medical topics relating to all most all areas of the medicine. Meanwhile, Ibtessam Al-Rumaithi, Head of the Section of Libraries, said the latest database is one of the international educational programmes adopted by many organisations and medical associations. She noted that the programme had won endorsement of the American Academy of Family Medicine (AFFP). She added that it was part of the medical practice in many well-known international hospitals such as Massachusetts General Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital among others.
She explained that the database was designed in the form of a medical repertory and about 3,000 physicians participated in providing information. This will save and effort for the doctors, she added.
She added that the information base was based on comprehensive medical content which is concise and accurate.
