The Mar Thoma Church Abu Dhabi will observe December as 'Month of Tolerance' with seminars and events, vicar Prakash Abraham said on Wednesday.
Minister of State for Tolerance, Shaikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, will inaugurate the programmes on Friday. "We are honoured to have Shaikha Lubna among us to lead the way," Abraham said.
"The month-long programmes will see seminars on the need to be a tolerant society, and art competitions with religious tolerance as the theme," Abraham said. The vicar said that close to 1,000 labourers from Mussafah will take part in cultural programmes. The event will be held at the church facility in Mussafah.
