The test would be conducted on April 20 and 21 for students from 9th to 12th standards.
Three experts in psychometric analysis from CIGI Headquarters in Calicut will conduct the tests and hold counselling of students in the presence of their parents on the basis of the assessments of the test to help them choose most suitable educational career.
The differential aptitude tests (DAT) are the latest genre of the career aptitude tests.
The DAT measures children’s aptitudes in eight different areas: Verbal reasoning, Numerical Ability, Abstract Reasoning, Mechanical Reasoning, Space Relations Spelling, Language Usage and Perceptual Speed and Accuracy.
DAT is developed by the American Psychological Society and CIGI has customised the evaluation process for the Indian as well as Middle Eastern standards after a few years of research and analysis.
Students will have to undergo eight sets of differential aptitude tests. They contain multiple choice questionnaires. Students are required to select the best/correct option within a set time limit of 12 to 25 minutes for each test.
