The DNRD investigations have found that the manager had also sent three faxes (from unknown places) to senior authorities, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, and to the office of the Interior Minister. The letters pointed to alleged administrative and financial corruption of the DNRD director.

During the police investigation, the accused said that he received a complaint from his brother whose visa was refused, although he completed the six-month ban. He said that he had sent a letter of complaint from his brother to the department, but he was shocked when he saw the letters had been replaced. He said his letters didn’t include any abusive langauge or mentioned anything about corruption. He confirmed that his letters included some violation made by the DNRD, including the accusation that the deparment had seized his brother’s passport without any judicial order. His brother’s visa was cancelled without the receipt of any complaint from his sponsor and the department banned the brother for two years. The court postponed the hearing for collection of necessary documents and evidence.
