Bright holidays predicted
DUBAI - Cloudy skies gave way to showers in some parts of the UAE on Monday.
The partly cloudy weather soon turned hazy as winds from the East kicked up sand and dust around the emirates, drastically reducing visibility. The weather settled around night leaving patches of clouds scattered across the sky.
Heavy rain lashed Fujairah and some parts of Sharjah. In Fujairah, farms were flooded and the sky remained overcast.
The Dubai Meteorological Services (DMS) predicts that today and the next few days will be very warm and sunny, and night time fine with cloudy patches over some areas, making the following days a perfect time to spend outdoors.
According to the forecaster, temperatures in the UAE tend to fall sharply during the month of November with daytime hours being around nine-and-a-half hours long and this year has been no exception. Current temperature ranges from a minimum of 24 degree Celsius to a maximum of 32 degree Celsius, with humidity at 29 per cent.
The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) reported that temperatures will continue to fall around northern and mountainous areas of the country, and there will be clouds towering over eastern and mountainous areas during afternoons. Winds will continue to kick up dust over open land areas and the sea will be fair and steady.
