Asian man attempts ‘suicide’
AL AIN — A 34-year-old Asian man allegedly tried to commit suicide by eating pesticide on Sunday.
The man, who has been admitted to Al Ain Hospital, is fighting for his life.
A colleague of his told Khaleej Times that this man had been under severe depression for some time and used to feel that his life was aimless. “But nobody imagined he would try to commit suicide,” he said.
Meanwhile, a Pakistani woman succumbed to her burn injuries in Al Ain Hospital on Sunday, where she had been admitted for five days.
She had sustained the burn injuries as her clothes caught fire while she was cooking for her family.
