ADB to give $178 million for Gojra-Shorkot motorway project

Upon the completion, the M-4 motorway will provide a four lane access-controlled alternative to the existing narrow and congested routes.

The government of Pakistan and Asian Development Bank here on Thursday signed a $178 million loan agreement for National Motorway M-4 Gojra-Shorkot Section Project (62km) which also includes grant of $90.77m to be provided by the Department of International Development (DFID), UK.

Upon the completion, the M-4 motorway will provide a four lane access-controlled alternative to the existing narrow and congested routes notably in the heavily trafficked Faisalabad and Khanewal-Multan-Muzaffargarh areas, according to Press statement issued here.
