The Anti-terrorism Court in Karachi on Friday remanded Maqsood Siddiqui, brother of senior Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Qamar Mansoor, for 90 days to the custody of Rangers.
The prosecution told the court that the accused was involved in heinous crimes and has admitted to have received training in India, target killing of 12 persons, extortions and kidnappings.
Siddiqui was picked up by the Rangers from the MQM headquarters 'NineZero' on Thursday. His brother Qamar Mansoor headed the MQM Rabita Committee in 2014.
Meanwhile, in an apparent sectarian killing, at least three people were gunned down near the Shafiq Mor area of Karachi on Friday.
Hashim, Ali Sajjad and Shamim Rizvi were travelling in a car when the killers intercepted them at Namak Bank in the jurisdiction of the Taimooria police station and opened indiscriminate fire at their vehicle.
Hashim and Ali Sajjad died on the spot while Shamim succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to a nearby hospital.
