A chilling video shows how 100 people were carried away into the sea as a catamaran capsized and sank off the coast of Costa Rica.
Filmed by one of the passengers, the boat can be seen tipping to one side and amid screams and chaos, water gushed into it.

The music blaring in the background comes to a sudden halt and within minutes, people can be seen holding on to tables and seats for dear life. In the video posted on YouTube by Daily Mail, a crew member runs around trying to help but in the vessel quickly hit the water and passengers can be seen stuck under the canopy on the deck.

The incident took place in January of 2015 when the Pura Vida Princess that was ferrying tourists to Tortuga Island, was overturned by strong winds and waves.
Carrying 98 passengers and 10 crew members, the tragedy claimed the life of three elderly people - Briton Ivor Stanley Hopkins, 80, Canadian Sharon Johnson, 70, and American Edna Oliver, 68.
Reportedly, it was over an hour before passengers were rescued, with some being forced to float beside the dead bodies.
