Beachy Head storms home in Jebel Ali

Grandstand Stables inmate, Beachy Head claimed Jebel Ali Racecourse's featured 1400m conditions contest on Friday in the hands of Emirati apprentice, Saeed Al Mazrooei, riding a second winner from as many rides following his return from National Service.
Saddled by Ali Rashid Al Rahyi, Beachy Head was registering his fourth career victory.
Unraced when with Godolphin, Beachy Head arrived at Jebel Ali Racecourse having had fruitless runs in both China and Korea since his most recent UAE outing when third, at Jebel Ali, in March.
He was posting a third course and distance victory, seemingly recording a career best in the process, to the delight of his trainer.
"This horse runs well here at Jebel Ali," said Al Rayhi. "We thought he was in good shape and ready to produce a big performance.
"Saeed gave him a good ride and we are very pleased with the result." Royston Ffrench exuded confidence aboard Fraserburgh in an 1800m handicap and it was easy to see why when the pair stormed clear 300m from home to win in style. Trained by Salem bin Ghadayer, Fraserburgh was having his fourth local start and second this season having shown plenty of promise over 1950m at Jebel Ali two weeks ago.
"I was very hopeful coming into the race," said Ffrench. "It was a good run a fortnight ago and with the drop in trip and fitness edge from that run we thought he had a major chance.
"It has been a good start to the season and hopefully it can continue."
Doug Watson always looked to have a strong hand in a second 1800m handicap, supplying three of the seven runners, and Sam Hitchcott was able to double his account for the season on Insaany, who was returning from injury.
Quickest away, Hitchcott took his mount straight to the front and they were never headed, with Insaany winning on his first start since March 2015 when he won over 1950m, also at Jebel Ali.
"Insaany had a small setback before the start of last season and is a nice horse. We could have tried to rush him back but decided to give him plenty of time.
"Before the injury we had thought he might be a Jebel Ali Stakes type of horse so it is great to get him back here with a win.
Salvadori became the first dual winner of the new season with a tidy victory in a 1400m handicap, 400m further then the 1000m maiden he won on the opening day of the season a fortnight earlier.
Trained by Rashed Bouresly, he was again partnered by Bruno Reis who gave him a confident ride, racing virtually alone on the nearside of the nine runners.
As the action appeared to be unfolding in the centre, where Outrank was leading the charge for home, Salvadori suddenly appeared as a serious threat.
He and Reis swooped to the front fully 300m out and never looked likely to be caught.
Bouresly said: "He is a nice horse and versatile as we have seen with wins over two trips. He stays this 1400m well and the 1000m win did his power a lot of good.
"Hopefully he can win again."
Logistics, second to Salvadori in the aforementioned 1000m maiden, looked the one to beat in the concluding 1200m maiden but could only muster an ultimately well beaten.
The race was won, comprehensively, by Intense Effort, trained by Ismail Mohammed who was always travelling well under Adrie de Vries. Directly they hit the front, about 300m from home, the race looked in safe keeping and the winner was shedding his maiden tag at the 16th attempt and 14th locally.
The only Purebred Arabian race on the card was the opening 1400m maiden in which Richard Mullen and AF Tebiyan were quickly, went straight to the lead and were never headed.
Trained by Ernst Oertel, AF Tebiyan had her second career start, having finished third on debut in a 1400m maiden at Al Ain in March.
It was another winner for the new Mullen, Oertel and Khaled Khalifa Al Nabooda, alliance, victorious at Abu Dhabi on Sunday with AF Ashras.
Oertel said: "We were pretty confident coming here as she had been working well and we are very proud of her as she showed a great, battling, attitude."
