Healers Medical Centre is unique and a purpose-oriented avenue for basic healthcare needs. A cosy clinic right in the residential hub of Sharjah caters to the needs of mother and child in its own personalised perspective, and believes in delivering a diagnosis pattern that caters to the lifestyle betterment and a hale and hearty environment. The centre is a valuable place for paediatric care, gynaecology, general medicine, endocrinology, obesity-related ailments, vaccination, dentistry, etc.
It also offers a host of health packages tailor-made for patients who want to keep a watch on their health vitals. The place is hygienically kept, and extends a friendly aura for walk-in and listed patients. The clinic established by the husband-wife team - Dr. Laxmi Kant Sharma, an endocrinologist, and Dr. Vidula Sharma, gynaecologist - is nine years old and they are also planning to open another clinic in Dubai Motor City.
Dr. Mandar V. Bichu, a senior paediatrician with more than 25 years of experience, is quite conscious as he spells out his vision for child and mother care, and what needs to be done to promote a positive lifestyle. He is also a freelance writer for various publications, and is an author of many books. He talks of time scarcity as one of the most vital issues in this technology-driven world of ours, and says that until and unless a tab is kept on lifestyle, health-related issues can't be addressed in a proper manner.
He says that the 24/7 work cycle is quite toiling, and parents and children are lost in quality communication, which inadvertently impacts their health issues. "This is where we have to find a solution, and at Healers Medical Centre we try to bring under one umbrella health concerns that impact mother, right from her pregnancy, to child birth and then ultimately the paediatric care."
The medical centre specialises in four categories of diagnosis:
A) Endocrinology, which deals with hormonal imbalances, obesity, thyroid, diabetics and related issues.
B) Gynaecology and Obstetrics, addressing issues such as infections, menstrual disturbance, puberty, menopause and infertility-related problems.
C) Paediatric, which deals with children from infancy to 18 years, as well as vaccination, jaundice and other chores.
D) Dentistry with special emphasis on cosmetic dentistry, prosthetic rehabilitation, child dentistry, crown and bridges, RCT and extraction. Dr. Sushama Manoj Kumar, dentist, is a firm believer in preventive dentistry, and has a mark of her own in oral surgeries.
Dr. Vidula, Gynaecologist and Obstetrics, says, "We have a systematic module as we enrol mother and child in our health packages, and see to it that they are taken care of in the best possible manner. From collection of blood specimens to determining their vitals, to diagnosis and periodic care, Healers Medical Centre is a one-stop facility for whole family, including child care."
Dr. Laxmi Kant, the endocrinologist, says, "Our conscious endeavour is to be competitive in price, and ensure the best of personal attention." He stresses on the fact that the multi-speciality clinic is meant to be a family clinic, and doesn't believe in corporatisation. The clinic accepts more than 30 insurances, and is quite humble in its pricing index.
"We value family relationships and networking for our patients, and want to be seen as a different clinic. This is why our doctors believe in delivering expert guidance, and tend to attend to the patient in a friendly and personalised manner. Lifestyle management is our focus, and it is through this prism that we take the best care of patients," Dr. Kant elucidates.
Healers Medical Centre's hallmark is in personalising care and diagnosing medicine in a comfort zone. This is why Dr. Mandar says, "We tend to inculcate preventive attitude among parents and patients, alike. We endeavour to reinvent the concept of family health, which has been eroded due to corporate culture, and strike a healthy balance in diet, physical exertion and medicine."
