Hundreds and thousands of people across the world showed their solidarity with Belgium after a wave of blasts in Brussels took away 34 lives and wounded scores.
Belgium's colors lit up the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai.

 
 
 
 
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo posted a picture of the World Trade Center coloured black, yellow and red on twitter and said it was lit "in solemn solidarity with the people of Belgium."
 
 
The Brandenburg gate in Berlin, Germany, was illuminated in black, yellow, and red colors of the Belgian flag.
 
 
Tintin weeped. Netizens shared images of a tearful Tintin - the famous cartoon character created by native Belgian cartoonist Herge.
 
A Belgian flag was displayed on the Trevi Fountain in Rome.
 
The Royal Palace at Dam Square in Amsterdam lit up in Belgian colours.
 
Meanwhile, scores of tweets, Facebook posts surfaced as netizens expressed their support through digital media.
