Islamabad — Expressing sympathy for the Burmese Muslims over the atrocities they are suffering, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved $5 million for their assistance.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly on Wednesday unanimously passed a resolution in against the persecution of Rohingya Muslims at the hands of government of Myanmar.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was also present in the House along with Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah.
The resolution states that the House commends the courage of Rohingyas in light of the atrocities being carried out against them.
The resolution also urges human rights activists “to do all the acts necessary to protect the peaceful community of Rohingya Muslims brutally being extinguished in Myanmar”.
