Riyadh - 50,000 outsourcing jobs on offer for women; 800000 employed in five years in Saudi

The Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) in Saudi Arabia has contributed to the employment of 831,500 men and women in five years, according to Saudi Gazette.
The Gazette quoted Hadaf's Deputy Executive Chairman Omar Malibari as saying that, of the employed Saudis, 63% were men while 37% were women.
In a statement quoted by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he said that 52,400 Saudis, made up of 61 per cent men and 39 per cent women, were employed during the first quarter of the current year.
Quoting figures released by the General Authority for Statistics, Malibari told the Gazette that unemployment rate, which was 12.4 per cent in 2011, dropped to 11.5 per cent in 2015.

He said more than 100,000 Saudi men and women have benefitted from the fund's electronic training platform which is offering training and qualification in 25 various vocational sectors.
"The electronic platform, named Diroub (roads), is preparing Saudis for the labor market" .
Malibari said through 120 branches and employment centers scattered all over the Kingdom, the fund is providing job seekers with vocational guidance and training. Hadaf is also paying unemployment allowance for a year. It is also paying half of the salaries of Saudi men and women teachers in private schools.

Over 50,000 outsourcing jobs on offer for women
The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has reported there are more than 50,000 available jobs that will allow women to work from a distance, Al Madinah newspaper reported on Sunday.

Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Development Abdulmunim Al Shihry told the newspaper that the ministry is working on a program to provide over 50,000 job positions for women seeking a job that allows them to work from the comfort of their home and does not restrict them to an office.
"There are over 100 private companies who have outsourcing jobs to offer in various parts of the Kingdom. The ministry also aims to encourage women to take on part-time jobs by giving them incentives." Al Shihry.
He added the distance jobs program is part of the feminisation program, which encourages more women to be a part of the Saudi labor market.

He also said working from a distance helps overcome the obstacles in the work environment and encouraged housewives and women from all educational backgrounds to seek distance employment.
"The program will be launched in two months. So far around 2,000 women are employed part-time in outsourcing jobs. Their salaries range from SR3,000 to SR9,000. The program will be implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Civil Service, Ministry of Commerce and Investment and the Saudi Commission of Communication. The Ministry of Labor and Social Development is now working on building the infrastructure of the program" - Al Shihry.
He also said the program aims to reach out to women living in rural areas or small towns as they have fewer opportunities for employment.
