Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will pay a three-day official visit to Sri Lanka from today (Monday) at the invitation of Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena.
During the visit, he will meet President Sirisena to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries. A number of MoUs and agreements of cooperation in various fields would be signed after the talks.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will also address a gathering of ministers, parliamentarians, senior officials, top business persons and members of the diplomatic corps.
The Pakistan High Commission in Colombo in a statement on Sunday said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be accompanied by a high level delegation.
He said Sharif and Begum Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif will be welcomed on their arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport by Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe.
