“After presenting second budget of the province, I now want to concentrate on the affairs of the party,” said Sirajul Haq in his resignation letter sent to the chief minister. The JI chief also highlighted few of his efforts that he made during his more than one year period as senior minister for finance.

“Despite all the efforts that we made, the federal government did not give due rights to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. I got the opportunity of becoming the senior minister for the second time and I tried my best to fulfil what I promised in my oath,” said Sirajul Haq.

Sirajul Haq, elected MPA from his native Lower Dir district on the JI ticket in the May 2013 general elections, was one of the three JI ministers in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf-led coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
