It looked like a scene straight out of a Hollywood action flick with a car half-stuck into the first floor of a building. But these images were taken by the Santa Ana, California fire department after a white sedan hit a centre divider and went flying right into a dental clinic in the building across the road.
The accident took place on Sunday in Southern California, according to reports in NDTV. Capt. Stephen Horner, a spokesman for the Orange County Fire Authority, said they received a call about a crash around 5.30am, adding, the car was travelling at a high speed when it hit the concrete median.
Officials stated the impact sent the car into the air and it landed into the small office building post which a minor fire was immediately extinguished.
There were two people in the car and one managed to get out while the other was trapped for over an hour until authorities arrived at the scene. The two sustained minor injuries in the accident. Fire officials had to use a crane to pull the vehicle out of the building.
