The little girl was found face down in the pool and her grandmother had attempted CPR before the two officers from the Pensacola Police Department arrived.
Officers Kyle Skipper and Robert Linblom got the girl to start breathing and she was transported to a local hospital. Bodycam footage of the cops shows them holding the girl and repeatedly striking her back in an attempt to clear any obstructions.
Officer Linblom was about to use an automated external defibrillator when the girl took a small breath and he located a pulse. Linbolm began giving her chest compressions, turning her on her side and put his two fingers in her mouth to help her vomit.
"To be honest, my first thought was, 'there's no way we're going to bring her back because as purple and as blue she was, I thought for sure she was gone'," said Officer Linblom.
Miraculously, the girl soon began breathing more and started moving, reported Daily Mail.
"When I saw her take that breath, I really just thought it was a miracle. when we arrived on scene I didn't expect her to recover," the officer added.
The Pensacola Fire Department and the Escambia County EMS arrived at the scene and the girl was transported to a local hospital. A doctor treating the girl said that she is alive only because the officers could resuscitate on time.
