Long queues will soon become history at the Department of Public Works and Services in Ras Al Khaimah after a new smart app is launched for booking appointments at the busy entity.
The first-of-its-kind application, in line with the vision of the RAK government to provide smart services to the public, can be easily downloaded and installed on smart phones and tablets.
Mohammed Mahmoud, manager of commercial affairs section at the department, said the app is a smart replacement for in-person appointments at the customer service centre in the department headquarters and branches across the emirate. "The new app will significantly ease and expedite official transactions, save time, money and effort, and bring happiness to the customers. "It will also help get the transactions done in an accurate, convenient, and faster way."
Using the new app, customers can book appointments from wherever they are. "The app shall automatically give a separate token number in an electronic way," Mahmoud said.
The app also helps book an appointment for any of the services provided by the department, he elaborated.
