Emirati nationals and UAE residents expressed joy and happiness as the first batch of UAE troops started returning to the country early Saturday morning. They all said that they wanted to be part of the celebrations.
Saif Saleh, brother of martyr Saleh Ali bin Naghr Al Shehi, RAK, said he was honoured to welcome the UAE troops coming back home proudly. "You have done your best, and we are really thankful to whatever you have done there."
Saleh prayed to Almighty Allah to accept the UAE heroes martyred in Yemen. "We are all proud to have a martyr in my family who sacrificed his soul and blood for his country and nation."
Eng Ahmed Mohammed, brother of martyr Hassan Mohammed Al Tunaiji, from Kalba, prayed to Almighty Allah to reward the UAE servicemen for their good deeds and heroic acts.
"Each and every Emirati citizen is proud of the UAE troops' courage and tireless support to legitimacy and oppressed Yemeni people."
"I am sure all the Emirati people do want to be part of the celebrations and welcome the heroes coming back safely to the country after liberating up to 70 per cent of the Yemeni lands."
Emirati national Rashid Ghanim Al Shamsi, member of the Hamriya Sports & Cultural Club, said people will be pointing at the houses of the UAE heroes. "The UAE servicemen have professionally and remarkably done the jobs assigned to them."
"Believe me, all Emirati youth want to be part of the operations in Yemen. They have seen how the UAE's prudent leaders have supported the troops there and equipped them with all items needed," said Sultan Al Shamsi, Emirati.
Those heroes are coming back with exceptional victory, mainly in heavily populated strategic city of Marib, he added. "The UAE soldiers have raised high the flag of the country and are giving more pride to the UAE which is a peaceful country that always stand by right and justice."
Sherif Al Wakeel, Egyptian, said though he was busy, he could not help participate in the ongoing celebrations and stand with family members to welcome the returning troops.
"The UAE soldiers have professionally dazzled the whole world with their heroic acts in terms of military operations, but they are also working in collaboration with other 11 Arab countries over the last seven months to rebuild the country as is the case with the so many schools and hospitals rebuilt, and power supplies restored in Aden city and other cities.
Adnan Ukasha, a Jordanian resident, said he did appreciate the work the UAE troops have done in Yemen. "Restoring legitimacy, supporting people-elected government, defending the people, securing citizens, training local troops, ensuring supplies, and providing aid and relief items are some of the major targets behind the operations there."
Sulaiman Al Mahi, Sudanese, said the UAE servicemen have shown an exceptional fighting competence against the Houthi rebels to support legitimacy in Yemen and stand by the people there.
"The UAE's prudent leaders are known for their white hands and they always support whoever is in need for help, mainly the Yemeni brothers."
The Emirati heroes are coming back after bravely fighting at the front lines and protect the security of the people there, he added. "Emirati troops have sincerely sacrificed their blood to bring hope and life to Yemen."
