Videographer shows the real beauty of the UAE in film

UAE resident and aspiring videographer Sulthan Khan showcased his debut short movie, titled 'Go Solo - Feel the Nature' to over 50 videography enthusiasts at the Nikon School at Downtown Jebel Ali on Wednesday.
Dedicating his short film to the leaders and people of the UAE, Sulthan said his video production aesthetically portrays the unseen side of UAE through the eyes of a solo traveller. The film, based on the natural beauty of the nation, including nature in all its glory with an unexplored countryside was produced using a Nikon D810 and a NIKKOR 50mm and 24-70mm lens.
Talking about the short movie, Sulthan Khan said: "I have always been fascinated with travelling solo and experiencing nature. This film is a journey I experienced as I travelled through different areas in the UAE. Honestly, these locations represent nature's beauty in the purest form. My only companions on this trip were my jeep and my Nikon gear."
The film takes the audience on a trip of the solo traveller who sets out on an incredible journey across the UAE to explore nature and wildlife. He can be seen travelling to places that are generally left unexplored because of rugged terrain or lack of cellular connectivity. For him it's not just about experiencing nature but it's a path to self-discovery. While the viewers enjoyed the breathtaking shots of the desert, hills, lakes, and the blue skies of the UAE, a narrator's voice in the background can be heard stitching the scenes together thereby telling the story of the traveller.
"It took me around three months to film the content. I set out on a journey through Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah - to experience different aspects of nature. With my camera, I captured everything that fascinated me and ended up with so many shots that it was incredibly hard for me to choose what should go into the final edit."
The traveller drives into the wilderness with his camera and films glorious time-lapse shots and captures animals native to the UAE in their natural habitat. He travels through the lesser-explored regions and shows the audience that there is beauty that is waiting to be discovered in the most unexpected places.

All I can say is that it's a beautiful film that makes you realise that the UAE has so much more to offer than the skyscrapers or modern architecture that we're all awed by," said Rita Joseph, a videography enthusiast present at the screening of the movie.
