A massive fire that broke out in a warehouse in Dubai's Al Quoz Industrial area 1 on Monday afternoon has now been put out.
Dubai Civil Defence teams were immediately dispatched, and firefighters reached the spot within four minutes of receiving the report. The cooling operations are underway as the authorities tweeted a charred picture of the recycling warehouse.
The Civil Defence teams arrived at the blaze site at 4.17pm and immediately started work to put out the fire while ensuring the safety of everyone at the site. There have been no reports of casualties so far.
Over a dozen police and civil defence vehicles arrived on site to control traffic and put out the fire. A Civil Defence chopper has also been spotted flying overhead to get a bird's eye view.
Earlier, videos shared by Khaleej Times staff showed a thick plume of black smoke billowing out of a facility in the area.
