A CCTV footage showing a massive crane at the Jebel Ali Port in Dubai crashing down when hit by a container vessel has emerged online.
Khaleej Times found the video on BBC this week but was unable to independently verify it.
We had reported that ten people were injured in a berthing incident in Jebel Ali, when a vessel collided with a harbour wall late last week.

"A CMA CGM container vessel collided with the harbour wall striking the leg of a quay crane causing it to fall. A second crane was also shifted off its rails during the incident but remained upright and stable," DP World said in a statement.

The incident took place on Thursday, May 4 at Jebel Ali Port, Terminal 1, DP World said.
"Our first priority is the safety and wellbeing of our employees and all visitors to the port. DP World's terminal safety teams responded immediately to the incident and head office global safety teams joined them on site within five minutes. Working with external emergency response teams, the area was evacuated and an exclusion zone created. Safety drones were also deployed to survey the area, locate anyone in need of medical assistance and to ensure the safety of the responding crews," the statement said.

The video shows a container vessel along the coast, hitting the huge crane, which comes crumbling down within seconds. As soon as the crane comes crashing, workers can be seen running away from the spot of incident.
It is followed by chaos as people run helter-skelter amid the dust generated from the crash.
