Heavy rain lashed parts of UAE on Wednesday, in line with today's forecast by the national Met department.

According to tweets by National Center of Meteorology in UAE, heavy to moderate rain hit Kadra, Al Manaie, Shawkah areas in Ras Al Khaimah. The rain in some of the areas was also accompanied by hailstorm.
Earlier, the NCM had predicted fair to partly cloudy weather for today with a chance of convective cloud formation accompanied with rainfall, especially over eastward and northward areas.


The maximum temperature during the day is expected to hover around 41- 45 °C along internal areas, 40-36 °C along the coast, and 31-35 °C in the mountains.

The maximum humidity would be 60 to 80 per cent across coastal, 50 to 70 per cent in interior regions and between 40 to 65 per cent in the mountains.

Winds will be light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly, freshening at times causing blowing dust over some exposed areas, with a speed of 20 to 30kmph, reaching up to 45kmph.

The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
