The Royal Court of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, announced the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Qasimi on Sunday afternoon.
The official statement said: "The Royal Court (Diwan) announces the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed on the Shawwal 17 which coincides with July 1.
"We offer our condolences to the Al Qasimi family and loved ones of the deceased."
Funeral prayers will be held on July 2 at 8am at Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Ras Al Khaimah.
He will be buried in the Al Qasimi family cemetery.
Condolence meets will be held at the Khuzam Majlis from 9am to 12pm and again from 4pm to 7pm for the next three days.
Women can offer their condolences at the late Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi in RAK's Duhaisa area.
Flags will be flown at half-mast for three days out of respect for the deceased, starting from Monday.
